The Power of saying thank you!

People don’t always remember to say thank you; yet, when they do it means something special. That’s how I felt when a notification popped up on my LinkedIn account from Brief Cases Alumnus, Craig Adams. Craig is a former student at University of Salford, Manchester and a Gold winner of the Brief Cases and Iggesund Paperboard project focused on creating Packaging Solutions for Tomorrow’s Households.

Brief Cases is an industry engagement scheme I founded, which aims to:

  • Bridge the gap between academic study and commercial reality – thereby increasing employability potential

  • Create positive links between business and education

  • Bring education and the world of work closer together.

Just months after leaving university, Craig is already working in a role for which he has trained, and he is able to put to good use the knowledge and skills that he gained in fulfilment of the industry focused Brief Cases university programme courtesy of Iggesund Paperboard and Brief Cases

Cheers Craig for remembering to say thank you. Our work is possible thanks to the industry partners and education institutions that work with us - knowing they are making a difference to the future of young people and showing their commitment to creating a talent pipeline for the long term future of businesses across sectors.

Remember your ‘Ps’ and ‘Qs’ is advice that many are taught as children and it is sound advice. That simple thank you written by Craig just led me to write another thank you!
