“Some schemes provide little in the way of contextual information and students are left with little help or support.

What sets Brief Cases apart is the structured approach and the level of industry engagement. I was extremely impressed by the briefing and the amount of information, support and client feedback given to the students throughout the project.

Brief Cases offers a valuable and comprehensive learning experience which significantly enhances the development of key design and employability skills.”

- Darren Raven, Programme Leader BA (Hons)  – University of Salford & National Teaching Fellow

Mission Statement

Fostering home grown talent; a highly skilled workforce is our best guarantee of sustainable industries for the future, and Brief Cases is a way of building that.

Brief Cases, a model for cooperation between academia and industry bridges the gap between education and business by creating industry-based projects that add value to student learning.

Students responding to our survey said they found Brief Cases helpful for the learning aims at their University. Some 96% of responding students agree that design has a role to play in sustainability.

“There needs to be a constructive discussion between university and business, feeding back to the academy and the broader higher education agenda, to ensure we have a shared future

- working with Brief Cases empowers that conversation.”

- Dr Don Parker, Academic Leader at University of Gloucestershire

Our Programmes
